Selecting a Jogging Stroller: 

Choosing a fixed versus swivel wheel Jogger Stroller like most features depends on your expected use. A swivel wheel is popular because it is more maneuverable in normal everyday use. This is especially true when navigating through small spaces at lower speeds. However, most serious runners prefer the fixed wheel design. We usually carry a model that has a lock feature that enables the stroller to function in either a fixed or swivel mode.

Wheel size is another consideration for a Jogger Stroller. Our selections have wheels ranging from 12 to 20 inches. All of these wheel sizes are suitable for using the Jogging Stroller on most terrains with good performance. If you want to use in off road terrains like dirt roads, gravel, beaches, etc., the strollers with shock absorbing features provide a smoother ride and additional comfort for the child. Wheel sizes 16 inches or higher are recommended for dedicated runners.

For those that want to combine biking with time with your children, our bike trailers meet this need.  Most of our bicycle trailers can also be used with your bike or converted for use as a jogger.

Finally, safety is an extremely important criterion for selecting a stroller. We recommend that riders be at least 6 months of age. If they lack the strength to hold their head up, it is advisable to use additional head and neck support and avoid rough surfaces. The 5 point harness is safest and is included with our product selections. Also, please pay close attention to the weight limits in the specifications. When using a double jogging stroller or triple jogging stroller, it is recommended the children be of similar size.

Selecting a Standard, Tandem or Umbrella Stroller:

Standard strollers are sturdier and offer more features, durability, and comfort than an umbrella stroller and are preferred for longer outings especially accommodating a newborn or small baby. Our products include a popular tandem stroller for families with more than one young child. Our popular brands include the Safety 1^st Stroller and Cosco Stroller. 

The umbrella stroller is popular because they are light, compact for easy carrying, and convenient for travel because they are easy to store during transportation. The major disadvantage for these types of strollers is the lack of support and comfort needed especially for newborns or small babies. Additionally, it is more difficult to maneuver umbrella stroller types.

Many parents find it useful to have two baby stroller products, one that is a standard heavy duty type with full features and carrying compartments and a second stroller that is super lightweight and can easily be folded up for travel or short outings, like an umbrella stroller. If you plan to walk on any surface other than paved roads or public facilities like malls, consider models with larger wheels and/or a model with suspension. If you are a very active parent that takes longer outings, expects more common usage on rougher terrains, or does at least some occasional running, a jogger stroller may be your better choice.

A Stroller Travel System is a great option for parents, grandparents, or caregivers that need both a car seat and stroller.  The seats are detachable and fit into the stroller carriage or car.
